Having
World Autism Day and World Down Syndrome Day..etc is great and all but
people who have a disability have to be aware all of the time. Wouldn't
it be better if more people were aware and considerate of these
disabilities not just one day but all 365 days of the year?
People who have disabilities, including myself, are often misunderstood
and treated differently. Sometimes people can be so unkind. I have a
passion for helping people who have disabilities, to show that not
everyone is like that, some people do care. Also knowing the struggles
of being independent/confident while having cerebral palsy, inspires me
to want to help others be independent and confident too. It is really
encouraging to hear about other people who care and treat people with
kindness and equality, no matter how "different" they may seem!
Hopefully these posts can help others be more accepting and aware of
what people with disabilities go through! After all the only real disability in life is a bad attitude.
